For the best performance from our Breastmilk Storage Bags, we recommend filling with 6 ounces or less, removing the excess air before sealing, and laying flat to freeze on a paper towel. Having said that, the performance you describe is not typical, so we would like to learn more. Hello E, thank you for sharing this feedback on our Breastmilk Storage Bags. We're sorry to hear that you weren't fully satisfied with them. The measurements on our bags are meant to be approximate. In order to get a more accurate measure, we recommend tapping the bag on a hard surface to expand the gusset. Then hold the bag's opening in the shape of an O by pressing the sides of the zipper towards one another.
