At least five times over the last three months, I have visited the Sam's website and discovered the five pack of Clorox wipes in stock for online ordering. Except it wasn't. Each time the information under the product image stated the item was in stock, but each time I placed it in my cart and tried to check out, the item was removed with a message saying it wasn't available. This also has happened several times with various packs of Lysol spray. In 2020, being able to track inventory in real time is a basic standard for any e-commerce site. I understand the pandemic has stretched some technologies and resources to their limits, but I would think this is an issue that would have been addressed by now.
