Found a clump of black mixed in the beans. Upon inspection, it shredded apart like meat, but I have no idea what it was - as there isn't supposed to be meat in this, especially not black. I threw the whole case away and used whole beans instead

Has the recipe changed? The quality has definitely gone way down hill. The beans are now watery and have a nasty tin can taste to them. I am really disappointed as these used to be my favorite canned refried bean.

Rosarita Is great brand and their refried beans are a household favorite! My daughter will only eat Rosarita. I love that Sam's offers this and that I am able to have this shipped to my home. This is a great buy!
