Sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your handle and thanks for letting us know. We have a quick fix to try, and if it doesn't work we'd be more than happy to send you a replacement handle. Sometimes, the internal threads get disengaged. To re-engage them, try sliding the red part of the handle half way down the middle gray section and try locking at that halfway point. If it does lock at that point, unlock again and pull the red part back to full extension and try locking again. This should reengage the threads and stay locked now. We&#39;re sorry to hear that ☹️This should help you out! <br /><br />-Hold the red handle in your right hand - grey in left. <br /><br />-Extend halfway (not fully) turn red handle away from you to lock. <br /><br />-Extend bottom grey part (closest to the base where the treads are) halfway, turn toward you to lock. <br /><br />You should now be able to extend both ends fully to locking position.
