Hella Maria, we apologize for the inconvenience, May you please try out these steps:<br />Hold the red handle in your right hand - grey in left.<br />Extend halfway (not fully) turn red handle away from you to lock.<br />Extend bottom grey part (closest to the base where the treads are) halfway, turn toward you to lock. <br />You should now be able to extend both ends fully to locking position.<br />If you find this does not help, please send us a message at https://ocedar.com/contact-page We would like to assist you with your concern and help provide a resolution for you, thanks!
