Great Mop at a Reasonable Price
Bucket and spinner appear to be heavy duty, the mop itself works very well, almost like a dirt magnet. It is a bit difficult to get the particles back out of the mop, but after only a couple hours of use to assess this product, I may ultimately find a better way. Additionally, the mop, in my opinion, could be a bit larger. My home is almost entirely hardwood and tile, the small size is great for going under and around items but not efficient for my large, open areas. The bucket and spinner work well together and is balanced when water is added. Would be great to have wheels as an option! The mop handle is a bit short for my liking. Overall this is a fine product for the price paid. Over the years I have purchased many mops, they generally break or the replacement pads are so expensive a person is best off with an entirely new unit. Time will tell but so far, this is the best one I've had.
Moping with a rag full of ramen noodles
I was hoping this would do good, since it is advertised it can be used on multiple floors. I bought it in person in store. For all things good and holy, DO NOT use this on wood floors or near wood. I followed instructions to a T and the amount of water that is still on this thing is just disgusting. Might as well dip a huge car washing sponge in a bucket and bush down in it over your floors. No matter how much I tried to make sure all the water was "rung" out, it still has an insane about of water on it. Glad I tested it on my tile floors first. Is it worth the 35 and come change. NO. The bucket itself is maybe worth near 20 but the actual mop is trash. I got the exact mop as displayed on this image and the image on the box shows someone using this on wood floor. You will damage your wood floor unless you have kids on their knees running towels directly after you. The mop itself would probably work best as a car washing utensil. Soap it up and squeegee it across the outside. Other than that its useless. Also im 5'4 and I extended the mop stick "as instructed with the pictures on the box" and the mop reached my belly button. So for me to use it on my tile floors I had to be bent over in an absurd manner, hurting my back. So if you are 5 foot or taller, this is going to be a pain to use. Feels like this is a kids toy sold at adult prices. Maybe you can use it to clean concrete porch outside but it will definitely leave enough water for you to slip, fall and hurt yourself. If you use it on tile floor make sure elderly or kids are not going to talk on it after, cause it will be wet for a while and I used very very hot steaming water when I did mine, and water sat longer then when i used my squeegee mop I could pull a button back on and squeeze out the water. Dont waste you time on this, I promise you and squeegee mop is way better, less work and they are longer in height. 2 stars for the bucket and the box made a nice temp play house for my cat.

The days of wringing out mops is over!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not much assembly required with this O Cedar EasyWring Spin Mop and Bucket System. Just a matter of putting the mop handle together and adjusting it to a comfortable height for the user. The handle is mostly metal and feels very sturdy. The bucket is large and was making me really appreciate the fact I have a deep sink that accommodated it. Otherwise I’d have to fill it in the tub. The bucket needs a better way of marking the maximum amount of water to put in. There are etch marks in the plastic but in the sink, I couldnt see them. They did put a sticker next to the mark to make it easier but I doubt that sticker is going to last long with water sloshing on it. I’ll probably use a marker or some nail polish to make it easier to see. One thing I wished for immediately when moving the bucket around was wheels. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just a little more portability would be appreciated to save on the back. Now the mopping. The mop head moved smoothly across the linoleum floor I was cleaning. Just make sure the point of the head is pointed forward. It did really well in the corners and up against baseboards. I didn’t have any major messes to clean but it did pick up some bits of grass and hair I didn’t even know were there and hung on to them. Only problem came when trying to mop between furniture, chair legs, etc. I had to lift the head and turn it sideways to get it past the tight spots which I don’t have to do with my cloth mop so that was one unanticipated disadvantage. The best thing about this mop is the spinner and that really is the draw to this product. No more hand wringing out a mop. Even my cloth one takes a fair bit of effort to wring by twisting the handle opposite directions. If you have a lot of mopping to do, you’re going to have cramped hands by the end of it. The spinner portion of the bucket works just like a salad spinner. Insert the mop head, hold the mop handle very loosely in your hand—just enough to keep it straight up and then push down on the pedal with your foot to start the spinner. Pushing the pedal down a couple times will give you a wet mop. A couple more times was medium wetness and what I found to be the perfect dampness to mop my floor with. If you press the pedal a few more times, you can almost get the mop dry. Something I noticed right off was how quickly my floor dried after. No more wet spots. Also the spinner doesn’t splash so there were no puddles of water around the bucket. The mop heads are microfiber that leave no streaks or strings behind like other mops and are washable and replaceable. They just snap on and off. Mopping is never fun. It’s never the joyful experience shown in commercials for floor cleaners, but if a product can make the process just a little less of a chore, I’m happy. This system achieved that for me.
Great Purchase
I purchased the spin mop because I had shoulder/hip replacement surgery which makes it hard to ring a mop and bend but thanks to buying this product it’s so much easier, the handle also extends to keep you from bending while mopping..I don’t mind mopping now because the spin mop does the work for me..
Amazing but snap on pole extender broke!
I have recommended this specific mop to many friends and family. Bought a few and gave them as gifts to hard working moms. Unfortunately I see myself having to order another one now and I don't know whether to buy this same exact one or the other brand that is blue because without putting any pressure on it, and using it literally only once a week or biweekly, the pole that snaps longer or shorter (Which I permanently left long since the first use) broke. Now it can't be used because the little spiral plastic inside that connects the poles together shattered. Does this have Warranty? I threw away the box already and obviously don't have the receipt anymore. Good questions.
Packing Fail ..
Hi I bought this for my mom.. I received the item top was opened and with a huge hole on the side. Carrying the box to my moms the extension pole fell out. luckily someone informed me of the pole. Mop stem was complete.. tried to inform Walmart online .. the contact Walmart link was looping me back to Walmart link.. bought another item .. a shopping cart.. packing was bad .. makeshift box.. open on one side
Spin and dance
This mop system works great. Use hot water, some Mr. Clean and some Clorox and all is good. The spinner takes most of the water out of the mop so it doesn't leave streaks and when using hot water it evaporates quickly. I'll never go back to a regular wring mop again and I will def never, ever use a sponge mop for the rest of my life. You can toss the mop head into the washer several times before you need to replace it and the refill goes for about $7.
Great product
This is the second mop like this that I have owned. I wore the paint off the handle of the other one. I love my O-Cedar ring mop! Don't have to get my hands wet. The only thing that I could suggest is it would be nice if the handle had soft sponge on the top of the mop where the paint wouldn't peal off. My first one lasted for 10-15 years, I think that is quiet good for the price.
FIRST SERIOUS WET MOP I've ever owned!
NO MORE flimsy, disposable sponge mops which 'go out of style' every 6 months! Having done custodian jobs many times I'm used to the satisfaction I got from using professional equipment in institutional settings so with a larger home I wanted something similar but without the high cost of a big mop and wringer combo. After several months of owning this I feel like I finally have a SERIOUS mop and bucket that's also suitable for THE HOME at an affordable price. Not only is it all that but I now actually enjoy washing my household floors WHENEVER they need it! Also unlike institutional mops, this one doesn't get stuck on castors, corners and chair legs. It works fine for large areas but also is VERY convenient for spot mopping up little spills! It get's into corners well. It goes behind and around the toilets easily and it can even be used to scrub walls and baseboards! Using the spin wringer sounds and feels like revving a motorcycle engine as you can feel the power going into the spinner basket! Since buying mine in the fall I STILL haven't put the removable head in the washing machine because it doesn't look or smell dirty! The only thing I think this needs is some sort of optional WHEELS or a detachable "dolly"- maybe I'll make my own somehow.
O-Cedar is Oh So Terrific!
I love the convenience of the O-Cedar mop and bucket system and the floors are really clean. Using the recipe I found online, I never realized that my floors were not as clean as I thought they were until I used O-Cedar. The only catch is that I store this in my garage as my closets are full. The recipe I use for washing that makes floors really clean: boil large pot of water, place one Tide pod into bucket with 1/4 cup Mr. Clean, Fabulouso or other floor cleaner. Pour hot water into bucket and leave for 2 mins. to dissolve pod. Then wash floors, squeezing out water each time after rinsing. I use towel to speed up drying time. Floors look and feel brand new - yet floors are ten years old. Rinse bucket out after each use to keep clean.
Wow thanks for sharing and thank you for your loyalty to O-Cedar!❤️
