Being diabetic, I like having snacks on hand that I can enjoy. Also I have two grandkids that are always hungry...lol...and I would rather have them eating a handful of nuts, rather than potato chips or cookies. This product states "Lightly Salted." However, if one is on a medical-based, sodium-restricted diet you need to READ the portion size and the milligrams of sodium that are in that portion, and not be tempted to eat at-will.. By no means is this a "salt-free" product. However, there is just the right amount of salt added to make this snack tasty, especially if you are having a salty-snack craving. Blue Diamond has a reputation of producing an excellent, quality product, and this product is no exception. The almonds are very fresh and crisp. The same product is offered in many retailers, but the largest size at those venues seems to be 30 oz. However, the Sam Club version is a whopping 40 oz for just about the same prices as the 30 oz. product in other stores. So, this is a real bargain that I will re-order from Sam's as needed.
