Allergies started hitting me hard about 5 years ago and would hit me hard for 6 months out of the year- during the day, outside, even when trying to sleep. I’ve tried many products with only partial relief or too many side effects (mainly sleepiness). Now I get the best of both worlds with allergy relief without the groggy feeling!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the sage blooms I'm always in need of allergen relief. Xyzal worked best for me in eliminating itching, burning eyes. I think everyone will have a different level of relief with Xyzal, but for me my eyes have always bothered me the worst. My best advice is to take this at night because it does make me too drowsy for daytime. Taking it at night also helps me awake the next day with my eyes feeling refreshed instead of itchy. I don't find it makes it quite to 24 hour relief, as I feel it wearing off at about 20 hours, when the sneezing starts, then the eyes. Overall, I will say this is a very good allergen reducer.

I take one tablet in the evening and it keeps my sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes under control for a full 24 hours. No drowsiness the next day either, which is a huge plus. I also like that the box has clear directions and warnings. Bonus: the owl mascot is kinda cute. 😄 Highly recommend if seasonal allergies hit you hard!

Most allergy medications make me feel drowsy so I'm less productive, but I did not feel tired after taking XYZAL. I like that it is comprehensive and eliminates multiple symptoms so that I don't have to worry about itchy eyes or throat or a runny rose.

There wasn't enough to really judge how well it would work as a long-term allergy solution. I am a little concerned about long-term use given some of the warnings about certain ingredients. I couldn't really tell if it was helping with seasonal allergies. I still had plenty of sinus congestion even after taking it.

XYZAL Allergy 24HR that I got for a sample is what I used this spring. It started off slow when I first took it but then kicked in. I slept better and did not have to blow my nose that much in the morning. It works well.
