I got a sample of 5 tablets to try right two days before my spring allergies hit me hard (thanks juniper). They recommend taking these in the evening since they can make you feel pretty drowsy. That day I was sneezing all the time, my nose was both runny and stuffy and my eyes really watery. After I took the pill, pretty much in one hour I was able to breathe again and fall asleep. The next day (and every following day after taking these 5 following nights) I still felt pretty drowsy throughout the day (so yeah, they obviously work 24h). I was still able to breathe pretty well but my nose became very dry. I still sneezed more than on my normal non allergy days but less than before Xyzal. So it does work well but the sides effects are still pretty big and I want to believe there is another brand that won’t make me feel so drowsy and make my nose so extremely dry. #xyzal

Let me tell you that I was already taking Claritin D because how bad my allergies tend to get and even by taking Claritin D I was still having restless nights. You take it at nightime and then wake up allergy free. It also last through out the day. I did not seem to have any drowsy effects like I do with other allergy pills taken at night and woke up not feeling groogy.

Tried everything so far on the market since my doctor told me all but one allergy med comes without a script which I tried. Bought this since it was the only one I have not tried and nothing happened of benefit. All brands seem to be the same and at the same low dose. If you have very minor seasonal allergies then it might work for some. Waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Xyzal are very small and easy to swallow and they help with my itchy eyes. I took one the night before because I was worried I might feel too drowsy. I read all the side effects and I only have seasonal allergies so this isn't something I would need to use all the time. But it's a good alternative to other products and seems to be effective. We had some really bad pollen days here so this seemed to do the trick.

There wasn't enough to really judge how well it would work as a long-term allergy solution. I am a little concerned about long-term use given some of the warnings about certain ingredients. I couldn't really tell if it was helping with seasonal allergies. I still had plenty of sinus congestion even after taking it.
