Remembering to take it at night is the main issue. When I first started taking it it made me quite drowsy during the day. That only lasted a few days however, then my body adjusted to it. Now I'm taking it every other night and it seems to last for two days.

This is the original prescription strength medication but you no longer need a prescription to purchase the medication. I like the convenient once a day dose. I have a hard time remembering to take medication throughout the day so being able to take just one pill a day is a great solution for me.

I had been taking Zyrtec for over two years now and had no relief. I'm an RN and was told by one of my patients to try Xyzal. So glad I did. I suffer from year round allergies, and Xyzal really works! I have noticed a decreased in my allergy symptoms after taking this medication after only 2 weeks. It is pricey, but I will continue to use it.

I found no difference in the Xyzal and generic brands of allergy meds. If you're not into taking generic brands then I'd recommend this product for you. If you do take generic brands this will work about the same but, at a higher price.
