Soft, plump raisins

Sun Maid is a great reliable brand. I've tried store brand raisins. Sun Maid are soft and plump unlike store brands that are hard and deydrated

Are You Kidding Me?, Ohh! NOT Sun Maid Raisins!

This is a first!, in 40-something years this has NEVER! happened in my purchases of Sun Maid..." these raisins are grey-color!, and the smell was like old car tires; not pleasant at all. I bake a lot of oatmeal, pecan %26 raisins!, but this is the first time that I ever seen and smell Sun Maid Raisins of this fowl smell and greyish color! I am writing to the Sun Maid Raisins Company a long, most expressive of total sadness for their products. Sun Maid has to know that their raisins QUALITY C ONTROL Division, must be put on probation simply because I've seen some of the other comments are about the very same complaints in the QUALITY of their raisins product. For now, I'll purchase Dole Raisins until Sun Maid can get their raisins division back on a superior taste and look of their present raisins product! the Quality Control Management must be notified of all the complaints about their raisins. Goodluck Sun Maid, your raisins division must do a better job sending out the raisins products in extremely harsh and bad, bad, raisins. I really think the FDA should be advised of these findings, and to investigate Sun Maid Raisins.

Great Buy

These raisins are a fantastic buy. You get 2 large bags and they are pretty much full. Many items I've purchased elsewhere or by other companies don't fill the package. These will last us a month, and that is with 4 people eating them as snacks and using them in recipes. The only problem is the bags do not reseal well. The tape won't hold after opening once. We just put them in a gallon ziploc bag and they do fine.

Hard object in bag damaged my tooth!

There was a hard object in one of their bags of raisins (either a stone or very hard wood), and it damaged my tooth, killing the nerve and causing me to have to get a root canal on that tooth, which of course, was costly. Endodontists are also suggesting I need a crown, which of course will add more cost. And all of this was on virgin tooth, meaning a tooth which had no cavities and no prior dental work done on it. Therefore, I can't bring myself to risk buying this product anymore. Too risky / too much to lose. :( (I do have a photo of the harmful object, but unfortunately it won't upload on the computer for some reason. Maybe this website doesn't accept JPG files?)

I like cinnamon raisin oatmeal, and soak raisins first before adding. There are lots of small stems in these raisins, far more than I've ever encountered before. I sure wouldn't feed these raisins to babies without teeth or only a few teeth. They scratch up my gums enough, and frankly I got so tired of eating stems that I threw out the huge 2 week batch of oatmeal I made. I have a bag and a half of these left, and I guess I'm throwing them away. I'm going back to Great Value raisins from Walmart, in a nice round container with a plastic lid. Easier to get out than in a bag and I never noticed stems. Pay a few pennies more and get a SAFE product.

No raisins better than Sun Maid Raisins!!!

First: I eat about 1/3 cup of these every morning with my breakfast cereal. Second: I like to cook and bake with them because of their rich flavor and soft, luscious texture. Third: they are significantly better quality and very much less expensive (at Sam's) than even the store brands at Kroger and Aldi's. Sun Maid produces, without a doubt, the absolute best quality and tastiest raisins that I have eaten anywhere else in the world. They have sufficient moisture remaining, they are impeccably clean, and you will almost never encounter a piece of a stem or any other woody parts of the vine. It is apparent that Sun Maid takes serious pride in the production of their raisins and maintaining their admirable reputation. Thank you Sam's and Sun Maid.
