I have had constipation all my life (71yo) and was started on Miralax by my doctor. It's pricey so I have tried other products such as the Member Mark Brand, (don't waste your money even tho the pharmacy said it was the same as Miralax.) Senokot-S, Probiotics, Stool softener. I alway have to come back to MiraLax. If you are severely constipation, you may have to take it twice a day or two capsule instead of one. MiraLax mixes well in coffee and has no taste. I found I can not use Milk products in my coffee because it tends to curdle. I don't find this problem with creamer. I usually back off for a day if the stools become too soft. You should aways call your doctor if you are having severe stomach pains, nausea or vomiting, unable to pass gas or have a BM.
