Lipton black tea is a great all around store bought black tea. Been around forever and makes great iced tea. I always have a box in the cupboard even with all the boutique type brands I buy as well. It’s a comforting, familiar flavor! You can’t go wrong.

Packaging is pathetic

Once you open the foil sleeve (always rips) then the hole in the box top allows air to circulate and soon you have stale tea. I haven't noticed a drastic change in the taste - except from the stale tea! I notice that most of the comments say "you can still buy the old packaging at you club store". Yes I belong to a club store - but why would I drive 10 miles or more for your tea? I'll just switch brands.

Hate the new packaging

I thought perhaps the store was out of tea when I saw that shiny wrapper through the box top but I purchased it anyway. How disappointing. I buy only black Lipton tea. Individually wrapped. How do you propose I now take an teabag or two in my purse or to work?

My mom used Lipton Black Tea Bags when I was growing up, so when I moved into my own house, of course I use them too to make my tea.  The flavor is smooth, not bitter tasting.  It makes the perfect southern sweet tea.  It is also good as a cup of hot tea.  I would recommend trying this brand if you are a tea drinker.

Poor packaging

After reading reviewers talking about the new packaging, I was so pleased to know I am not the only one disappointed. As consumers, we don't fall for your reason "So good we had to wrap it up." , Truly, we are not completely clueless. There are other brands of tea I enjoy, so now there is really nothing to set you apart. I counted on the Lipton envelope to toss in my purse or lunch bag. So sorry to see you have caved. Sent on the new Sprint Network from my Samsung Galaxy S®4.

Classic, nostalgic

I like the packaging because the bright yellow makes me feel happy and positive. This product is nostalgic for me because it reminds me of my childhood. My family has always been obsessed with sweet tea and this is the original brand we always used to make it. I like the pitcher of tea on the box. We drink it out of a big plastic jug though. This tea smells good when you brew it and it's really strong if you boil it as long as I do. Perfectly complements the large amount of sugar that I add to my sweet tea.

I'm from the south and Lipton is always one of my go to teas for making sweet tea. Lipton has a great flavor and is not too strong. I now have to cut back on how much sugar I put in my tea, because my significant other likes unsweetened tea, but even with using less sugar, Lipton still has a great taste!

Lipton black tea is my favorite! I grew up drinking it hot or iced. It has the best flavor, I can drink it sweet or normal. I never have a problem with lose leaves floating in my tea like I've had with other brands. I 100% recommend Lipton if you love tea!!

Good tea.

I’m not a fan of tea but this brand is so popular that’s why I bought it when I wanted to drink some tea. The taste was good, not strong not bitter. After done drinking, I usually throw the tea remains in the compost bin to make good fertilizer. Sorry no photo because I used it a few months ago.

Might As Well Buy Store Brand Tea, Now

For generations, Lipton tea was all we drank. Yesterday, I bought a box of Lipton tea. It was a 100 count box. Inside were four gold wrapped 25 count teabags, unwrapped, but with better cardboard tags. The tags were the only thing good about the change, because I was tired of swallowing the staples and I'm tired of the strange, indescribable taste. I drink the tea hot in the same set of six cups I bought two years ago and I don't add sugar or milk, so what made the change in taste? The bags or who you buy your tea from or the way it's processed? Whatever happened, it's not my water, because I have a well, not city water and drink it from the tap and no change there. This last box of Lipton Tea will be the last I buy. For posterity reasons, I will save one bag out of the box I have. Loved you, Lipton, but for me, your days of being the "Gold Standard" of American tea is over. How sad.
