Intense beef flavor - very salty. For years I've used this product for adding flavor to beef stews and vegetable beef soups. This beef base mixes great with water, I use a jar with tight fitting lid and shake until dissolved. My recommendation is to use a small amount of base to start, then increase as needed. Adding your own black pepper is a must in most recipes. The Chicken base is great also.

Easier than dry cubed bullion. Seems to me that the taste is a lot better too!
