1. We sealed the bottom of the boxes and then packed. The boxes remained in the AC but when we went to move the boxes they had to be re-taped. Had to use twice as much tape. Was it designed so that consumers had to buy more? 2. The tape kept getting stuck to the roll instead of staying up in the prongs. You then had to spend 5 minutes trying to get a clean thread once you got all of the little Strands to peel in synch. We have moved a lot! I always use this tape , but looking for new brands!!!

I love this tape but can not find the replacement tape for the dispenser. There used to be a box of 6 without the dispenser. Trying to save the environment by not buying the dispenser when I don't need one, just want the tape.

Hard to say if the tape is any good, since I can't figure out how to fed the tape into the cutting edge. Apparently this is an issue with many users! And thre are no helpful hints on the package or the web site!!

My husband sends many packages & has a tendency to overdue it with packing tape. It's always been a joke in the house how much he uses. Your tape both enables my husband to feel secure that his package will reach its destination in one piece while I don't have to worry about the expense of him using just about a roll on every package. There do not seem to be 1.88 inch x 800 inch refills for the red plastic tape dispensers. Why? While I like your clear packaging and shipping tape, it is very disappointing that I must consign the empty dispensers to the landfill since the local recycling centers will not accept them. Can't 3M do better?

I've struggled with masking tape, brown paper and string, glue, various forms of tape, so I was quite pleased, as the years passed to discover Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape. Not only is it easy to use, it performs exceptionally well. No matter the distance nor the carrier, since switching to Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape I have had no problems or complaints. This particular tape is also quite helpful when packing boxes around the house to store, move, or take to the consignment shop with items to sell. Whatever the job, Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape is the tape I choose. My only complaint is that Scotch(R) High Performance Packaging Tape wasn't available sooner--it would have certainly saved me a lot of time, headaches, and frustation!

We've all bought an 'off brand' in hopes of saving a few pennies - don't bother - stick with what you know is a great product AND works great! You'll only use more of the other tape trying to get your pkg secure - and wish you hadn't wasted your time AND $$

I've always thought that this brand was really good, but this packaging tape is worse than regular tape. It doesn't stick to anything except on its own sticky side. It does however stick to regular printer paper. Just not cardboard or anything else. Don't waste your money to buy this tape if you need to tape down your boxes.
