It didn't bother my allergies, nor did it dry out my skin. It has a very light scent. I can't nail down exactly what the scent is, but it is very mild. Aveeno body wash doesn't produce a lot of lather, but it leaves you feeling clean.

My skin had been feeling a little dry (from the summer pool days) so I was looking forward to trying this out. I have used other Aveeno products before (mostly the body lotion) and wasn't entirely a fan of the scent. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this didn't smell like their usual products. I don't know how to describe it, but it had a bit of a "man scent" but it wasn't overpowering and it didn't linger post shower. What I did notice was that it left a pretty thick coat on my loofah even after rinsing it; I imagine it's clinging to my skin the same way. I did notice less dryness on my skin and especially after shaving, it left my legs feeling extra smooth. The sample was enough for about 2 weeks so I don't know the long term success of this product. Overall, it was a great 2 week trial and would recommend if you are looking for extra hydration.

The formula is like a clear liquid jelly and does not produce a ton of suds, but it gets the job done while being gentle on sensitive skin. I would purchase this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this product for my honest review. This Aveeno soap lathers up well and works nicely on the body at cleaning off dirt. It has a very pleasant scent, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, be aware that it does contain it as one of its ingredients. It is marketed as a moisturizing soap and isn’t overdrying, but I don’t notice a positive difference in my skin moisture after using it. Overall, it does well at cleaning, and I may consider buying it again.
