Stale

I recently purchased a 12 oz box of Rice Krispies and I am very disappointed as they are completely stale. My 7 year old son pointed out that they did not taste right. After inspection and trying for myself, I agree. This was a brand new box that was opened. Tasted like they were left out for weeks unwrapped.

Hard pieces

I love Rice Krispies and after not being able to find them at my local grocery store due to supply issues I was excited to have a bowl. Ouch! Hard bits in every bowl and I felt like I was going to break a tooth! I can’t even enjoy it because I’m worried about biting on the hard pieces. I’ve never had this before.

What Happened?

I just opened the box to make my family’s traditional Easter Rice Krispies treats (shaped like a bunny) and was shocked by the look of the cereal. It is a dark tan and shaped slightly different than the original. It tastes different as well. I’m so sad!! This has been a family favorite but if this is the new normal, we will take a pass. So sad.

good breakfast

I remember "Snap, Crackle and Pop" as a young person. We used to wait to hear the sound also after the milk was poured on the cereal. While snap, crackle and pop are still there, they don't sound as loud any more. However, this is a good cereal , with fruit, keeps one filled.

Still wilts in milk, but now with hard bits.

Was disappointed years ago when the recipe changed. Still make treats but rarely east the cerise alone. A couple of bowl from my wife’s treat leftovers had lots of hard but. Noticed them in the bars as well, but blamed the process, nor the raw materials. Afraibof broken teeth.

My PERFECT cereal

Kellogg's Rice Krispies are a "staple" in our pantry with so many uses for, including light meal/snack (always reliable and a hit) and Rice Krispie marshmallow treats with lots of variety when adding other kitchen staples such as peanut butter, chocolate or other flavored chips, etc. etc. etc.! Use your creative "you"!

This breakfast cereal used to be the best

I have eaten this cereal all my life. It's got to be one of the best. But of late, it's getting hard to chew without biting hard kernels with every spoonful. It used to be an occasional spoonful had a hard kernel or two, but now it is literally every spoonful. It's as bad as the cheaper grocery store chain brand of rice krispies where you expect to find hard kernels because your paying a cheaper price. But to find this sort of unpalatable food product in a top of the line, brand name, higher priced product......for shame Kellogg's, for shame. Please give us back the rice krispies we all know and love so I don't break my teeth and have to go to the dentist.

Used to be a favourite, now it’s full of hard bits

Rice Krispies were always a staple in my home, but the last 3 boxes I’ve bought have all contained quite a lot of hard pieces. Even after letting the cereal sit in milk for a couple minutes. Towards the bottom of the bowl it feels like I’m chewing rocks. My friends have also mentioned this, something changed and it’s not good.

Rice Krispies - love the crunch

My nephew asked me to make him Rice Krispies Treats on my next visit. I will make them the traditional way and with mini m&m on top. I also saw a recipe that has you add white chocolate to the melted marshmallow. He may have asked but every ne will love them including this big kid!

They still Snap, Crackle, & Pop!

As a little girl - it was the TV commercial that made me ask my mother to buy them for me. 55 years later - I still love Rice Krispies for breakfast & to make Rice Krispie treats to take to about every social event!! I always bring home an empty pan:)
