Kellogg's is and has been my favorite brand for cereal since childhood. Rice Krispies, though harder to find since the pandemic, are a regular purchase for me and my family. Lately new, opened boxes have been inundated with hard, barely edible Rice Krispies that do not soften even after soaking in milk! It's puzzling and disappointing; they've made a normally pleasurable dive into a big bowl of nutritious comfort food feel...risky. After observing the remnants of a recent bowl--first sign of a problem, I never leave any cereal from a bowl of Rice Krispies uneaten--I noticed a lot of cereal pieces had sunken to the bottom. I've never known even soggy Rice Krispies to just sink to the bottom of the bowl so heavily. To me, those sunken bits most closely resembled uncooked parboiled rice right after I've added water to the pot before cooking. And frankly, the hard bits texture is very similar to undercooked rice, in my opinion. I don't know the exact cause of this, but at this time I'm not confident enough to purchase additional boxes of Rice Krispies until the issue is fully addressed. Thanks for listening.

I bought a box of Rice Krispies to make the Rice Krispie Treats for my daughter, as a inspiration to work a little harder last month on remote learning for school. She can’t wait till she goes back into her school building. They were a big hit and of course I had a few myself, it bought back so many childhood memories. My daughter will be going into 8th grade this Fall. Wish all the students Good luck and hope the schools open in September.

I have eaten this cereal all my life. It's got to be one of the best. But of late, it's getting hard to chew without biting hard kernels with every spoonful. It used to be an occasional spoonful had a hard kernel or two, but now it is literally every spoonful. It's as bad as the cheaper grocery store chain brand of rice krispies where you expect to find hard kernels because your paying a cheaper price. But to find this sort of unpalatable food product in a top of the line, brand name, higher priced product......for shame Kellogg's, for shame. Please give us back the rice krispies we all know and love so I don't break my teeth and have to go to the dentist.

I have loved Rice Krispies cereal since I was a child.Now my grandchildren love it as well. They like it for breakfast, as a snack and we love to make Rice Krispies Treats with marshmallows.They get a big kick out of making those tasty bars all by themselves with Grandma watching of course.My husband likes it too! I always have a box or two in the house.

What has happened? Did I get a rogue box? I just opened a box of nostalgic Kellogg’s Rice Crispies to find a different look to them, they were a dark shade tan. Have they been baked too long? We’re they burned? The disappointing visual look was compounded by the taste. What are these things? They taste nothing like the good old favorites of years gone by. These are a poor replica of Cheerios, I hate Cheerios, oh NO. If this is a rogue box please tell me because it will be my last box, the remainder of which will be tossed away (I wonder if the birds will even eat them?) if it is a “bad box” then I can chalk it up as an unfortunate circumstance and purchase another box, but please don’t tell me they changed the recipe. I am left here crying in my cereal.

This is the first box that we've purchased since the hard bit issue seems to have popped up and I never thought to check reviews for something I've purchased for more than 30 years! Double batch of rice krispie treats made without trying the cereal and now I have a house full of disappointed family because you can't find a bite that doesn't hurt to chew.

Was surprised to see how different the cereal looked. I wanted to try it anyways and made some rice krispies treats. They didn't clumps up as well as they used to and they are much thicker. They aren't as crispy and light as they used to be. Didn't like them at all. It reminded me of any other cereal treats or bars. I won't be buying this cereal again unless it goes back.

There is plenty for many bowls of snapping, crackling and popping cereal as well as plenty to make several batches of rice krispies treats. This cereal is the perfect match with butter and marshmallows and makes the most delicious Rice Krispie treats. It’s still the same as it’s always been-crispy from the start and this size inbox is a great value for the cost.

We've been eating this for breakfast with almond milk and my daughter enjoys listening for the crackling sound. I'm planning to buy some marshmallows soon so that we can make some Rice Krispie treats!
