Chinet is a good brand, but these plates were a disappointment. They are limber and pithy. They seem ready to shred or fray. They are a bare paper product without any sealing treatment.

I thought that these plates would be like other chinet plates but these will soak up any an all liquid like a sponge. Soaks right threw an on to everything, ruined a tablecloth with these plates.

Do better paper plates exist? No.. not even close. I buy these for two reasons… I have 4 kids and get tired of washing dishes.. and then, I have 4 kids and get tired of spills from flimsy plates as they one-hand carry across my kitchen.

These are all paper plates, they are thick and handle moist foods well, do not bend easily as some other brands and foam plates. Chinet is still the standard for paper plates and a still a bit pricy.
