I have purchased Chinet plates for years. They now are leaking through, any moisture or grease ends up on table your lap. Not sure what they changed but not good, will try another brand!!!

Along with a few other reviews, the recent change to the product/material (looks like recycled paper) allows anything with oil in it to seep through. This didn’t happen with previous material used.

We love these plates for our barbecues, lunches, picnics, and even impromptu get togethers. These look really expensive, but they are very affordable. I cannot say enough about how sturdy these are. I bought the lunch plates for a brunch. Have used before for fruits, eggs, sandwiches! Never again!! Scrambled eggs soaked right through! Melon soaked through. Plates folded like a cheap knock off!! Food stuck to the surface and you did not really want to eat since you were getting paper with it! The Chinet of our parents... Bragging about durability is GONE!!
