Quality has gone downhill

I have used Chinet products for years! Both in my camper and in my house as we do a lot of entertaining. This last package of dinner plates I bought are complete garbage!! They leak through where we have had to double up the plates (never had this issue before), they look warped, like bubbles.. just totally disappointed. I won't by Chinet again

We love using recycled materials, but it means we are constantly re-evaluating and optimizing the manufacturing process. Recently, all Chinet Classic® molded fiber tableware transitioned to a new Oil & Grease Resistant (OGR) barrier technology. Because of that, you didn't get our best product, and we apologize. What has happened to these plates? These have always been the best and most sturdy paper plates butbthis last batch I purchased are absolutely not the same. Any food woth a sauce or oils just seep through. The only difference I see is they are now labeled "compostable."

No plastic coating, just a plain paper to food contact. It absorbed the juices.
