Skippy chunky peanut butter

The peanut butter came with both caps loose, and the lids were not sealed.  How am I supposed to know if it’s safe to eat??!!  The jars were banged and dented , because the packers did not put bubble wrap in the box, and they were bounced around in shipping.   I’m concerned that they were not sealed.  Are they safe?

Unsafe for consumption??
