I love to fry my spam …. I make sandwiches with it & it's great to put in mac & cheese & scalloped potatoes …… Sometimes I fry it with toast & eggs …..

This is a pantry staple - in case of power outage or nothing else but there is one exception where this is actually good enough for guests. I slice this in 1/2 inch slabs and cold smoke for 6 hours. Cube and add to pinto beans with onions, carrots, jalapenos, celery, chicken stock and spices in a crock pot. Essentially, Spam replaces a ham hock.

I ordered many items with a pick-up order for 1 box of Spam. When I got it home, half of the cans were dented with 1 of them to the point that it was leaking where the pull tab was. The meat was very gray and spoiled in that can. I took all of them back to Customer Service and they were extremely helpful and refunded the purchase amount. It could have been a customer who dropped it in store but nevertheless it needed to be returned.

I buy Spam because I like it and I like using it in several dishes. I like Spam in my omeletes, I use Spam to add taste and nutrition to my macaroni and cheese. I also put Spam in greens, just cut it up brown a bit and add it in with the mustard or turnip greens, tasty with cornbread too.

Chop it up with pepper and onions add to eggs
