[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wasn't sure if the Swiffer Sweeper Base Starter Kit was going to be worth it. But after spending some time using it, I think that it is. It is not a total replacement for the broom and dustpan or mop and bucket, but for quickly being able to tidy up the floors between cleanings, it's totally worth it. The kit comes disassembled, but snaps together super quick. Slap on a dry cloth and you're on your way in less than a minute. In looking at the cloth after going over the kitchen floor, it's clear that the thing really is a dirt magnet. There's a lot on there; small crumbs, one of my daughter's hair elastics and plenty of cat hair. Lots and Lots of cat hair. We have two, and all hard wood and tile. This thing is great for picking up all of that fuzz that the seem to drop off everywhere. What is also nice is that the cloth curls up over the edge of the Swiffer, so it makes it easy to run along the baseboard and get the dust and dander that sits there. Now there are some limitations. Larger crumbs and other "objects" just get pushed around. Also, if something bigger does end up getting stuck under there, it raises up the pad, so you tend to miss some spots. But that's not what the Swiffer is really for, hence my earlier comment about it not totally replacing the broom and dustpan. We still need to pull that out of cleaning day. But to straighten up the kitchen after dinner, this is the quick and easy way to go. Also, I can clean the whole house (3 bedrooms, 2 bath, Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen) with just one cloth. Sometimes I can even get two go arounds on one depending on how dirty things are. I liked the wet cloths too, but again, they have there limits. Is the Swiffer your best bet after the kids track their muddy footprints through the kitchen and down the hall? Probably not. With that much, once the cloth becomes full of mud, they don't work so well and just kind of push stuff around. But, for a small spill or those little sticky spots that seem to mysteriously appear in the living room, these work pretty well, and are a whole lot easier than pulling out the mop and bucket. The only real complaint that I have is that the don't really have much scrubbing power. I wish that there was a rougher part that you could use to scour a bit to get up those harder spots. But other than that, they do what they were designed to do pretty well. So, now that I have the starter kit, I will definitely be buying the refills. I'm not getting rid of any of the other cleaning tools in the house, but am certainly glad to be able to add these to the arsenal.

I have hardwood floors throughout my house and I feel that I am constantly sweeping and mopping the floors. I've used a traditional broom and mop, but wasn't happy with the results. I felt like the broom always left debris behind and the mop left streaks on the floor. So, when I had the chance to try this product, I was super excited and optimistic. This product did not disappoint. Out of the box, this thing was super easy to assemble. It came with clear directions on how to assemble the sweeper and to place the pads. It took about five minutes from opening the box to sweeping the floor. It really doesn't get any easier or clearer. As mentioned above, I have hardwood floors. I also have two dogs and a child. This combination means that my floors almost always have dog hair and crumbs. Again, the broom always left something behind. What really impressed me was how well the dry sweeper pads held onto the dirt and dog hair. One pad was enough to clean upstairs and downstairs of my house. I didn't expect that. I thought for sure that I was going to need more than one pad. One pad grabbed all the dirt and dog hair and left nothing behind. Another thing I love about this is how well it gets in corners and under furniture. After sweeping my whole house and being thoroughly impressed with how clean my floors are, it was time to mop. I removed the dry sweeper and put on one of the mopping cloths. Again, it was so easy to put on. This wet mopping cloth is perfect! It leaves my floors clean but not so wet that they take forever to dry. Again, this one pad cleaned my entire house - upstairs and downstairs. Also, because I didn't have to keep wetting and wringing the mop, I was done so much faster. It was also easier than lugging around a mop bucket and mop with water splashing everywhere. Cleaning my floors used to be a hassle that I absolutely dreaded. Now, thanks to this amazing wet/dry sweeper, I am done in a fraction of the time.

The dry cloth really traps the dirt and leaves the floor ready for the finishing touch. After the wet cloth my floor was shining. The clothes are easy to put on and the unit is easy to store. It only took one pass to do each of the steps. I definitely recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a one-bedroom apartment in NYC, with hardwood floors and tile throughout. Before trying this product, we had long used a Swiffer Wet Jet for weekly floor cleaning. I'd never before tried a "dry" Swiffer product. The "dry" feature just did not work for me. I have long hair, and "shed" A LOT, so the primary reason I sweep/vacuum is to pick up hair. The Swiffer cloth just isn't powerful enough to control my hair. It does pick up a fair amount of dust, which is cool, but I still had to vacuum afterward to get the hairballs up. The wet feature worked well -- I like the convenience of the Swiffer system as opposed to a mop and bucket. But it doesn't seem to get the floor as clean as my Wet Jet. Or maybe I'm just partial to the smell of the Wet Jet cleaner. Overall, I'd say this product does what it claims -- but just isn't a great fit for someone, like me, who needs to pick up lots of long hair off the floor. Maybe it works better for shorter hair and/or pet hair?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I had used a Swiffer Sweeper in the past, it had been quite a few years, since it had first came out, since i had given it a try. It's fairly easy to set up and use, which I like, and works like a charm. My only qualm, was that the pet hair didn't stick to it as much as I would have liked. It did attract a lot of it, but I ended up pushing most of it around with little puffs of it flying away every so often. In summary, the Swiffer is great for those quick little cleaning jobs that you want to do in between getting the huge vacuum or mop out for, but not good enough that you wouldn't need them at all.

This mop is so versatile! It's great for sweeping up pet hairs, and it's great for cleaning up every day messes. The price is reasonable, and the refills are easy to store. This is such a handy product! It's easy to put together, sturdy, and it's very lightweight. I highly recommend this product.

I was so impressed with how easy it was to clean. We both swiffered the floor and it not only did a great job but it was fun. My husband actually steam mopped the floor the day before so we were both SHOCKED when our swimmer pad was covered in dirt. 5 stars from this momma!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the two-way approach that the Swiffer Sweeper Base Starter Kit uses to clean floors. It's super easy and convenient, and my kids even like doing it! The Swiffer Sweeper stick is a cinch to assemble because you just insert the poles into each other and you're ready to mop! First, you attach the dry cloth to pick up dirt, hair, and dust. Then you simply toss the dirty dry cloth in the trash and attach the wet cloth to the Swiffer Sweeper to mop the floors. The wet cloth has a good amount of cleaning solution on it. I find that I need to use about 4 cloths to mop all the floors in my house. What I like most about the Swiffer Sweeper is how low and flat to the ground the Swiffer Sweeper can get. It makes it easy to get all the hard-to-reach dirt and dust under bookshelves, low tables, and other places that usually can't get clean. I also like the scent of the wet clothes. They have a pleasant scent that just smells "clean". I would definitely recommend the Swiffer Sweeper Starter Kit to someone and I have already bought the refills!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really come to appreciate my new Swiffer. I recently installed laminate flooring, which looks great but tends to accumulate dust quickly. The Swiffer is an easy solution to that problem. Whenever I see a bit of dust I can just grab the Swiffer and give the area a quick clean. It really makes cleaning so easy. I also appreciate how it can easily go between rooms with laminate and rooms with tile, and clean both just as well. The wet and dry options are also appreciated as sometimes you really need the extra cleaning power that I find the wet cloths have. Of course the best part of the Swiffer is that you just throw the dirty pads away, making cleanup a breeze. And with the Swiffer being such a slim profile it is easy to store away almost anywhere when you are done using it. Overall my wife and I both really appreciate the Swiffer and plan on continuing to use it, as it really is a great cleaning option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first want to say that I have two dogs. Two Shelties to be exact. And they shed. Oh boy do they shed. My kitchen has laminate wood flooring, so I used the Swiffer there. Their hair and dust collect in the corners of the kitchen and under the stove and anywhere else it can go. Also, they go outside through the back door, which means they they have to walk through the kitchen when they come inside, tracking dirt and who knows what else inside. I first used the dry cloth to pick up the hair. I was amazed. The hair just stuck to the cloth like a magnet. Also, the hair that was already collected on the cloth didn't fall off as I kept sweeping. I then used the wet cloth to give the floor a more thorough cleaning. The cloth was nicely saturated. It glided across the floor and picked up any dirt that the dry cloth wasn't able to get. I was left with a glistening floor that looked like new! I was impressed. All in all, the sweeper was very easy to put together (and take apart). The cloths were easy to put on. And it worked just as I hoped it would. Highly recommended!
