Please know that your health and safety are the most important things we think about at Dawn, and our products are rigorously tested to be safe when used as directed. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the of the product taste into food. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. We assure you, Bob, we have not changed the thickness of any Dawn liquid Dish Soap, you should still be enjoying the supreme performance of Dawn Platinum Dish Soap, with Refreshing Rain scent. Regarding Sam's Club not carrying the size bottle you prefer, we encourage you to contact them and share with them your preferred product, they may order it for you.
