The soap is OK - the packaging is terrible. First, i had a hard time getting it to spray. Secondly, I had to read the directions to learn how to take the cap off - not intuitive. Then, i finally got it back together and it started to spray, then the bottle fell off the top sparayer cap and spilled liquid all over the floor. Also, it's hard to work the spray trigger. I've used spray bottles for 50 years with good results. Dawn redesigned the spray bottle and got it all screwed up. (If it's not broken, don't try to fix it!)

The new scent Dawn is causing my hands to itch and my throat to get tight, plus a bit of nausea. I have always used Dawn for all kinds of things and I'm sad to have to discontinue. The smell is not terrible but it does smell like the laundry and not the kitchen. Please stop trying to fix something that's not broken.

I tried this my last grocery order. I have used 3/4 of the bottle and just ordered another, cheaper brand I used previously. This was like using no soap. Within less than 5 minutes, suds disappeared and a sink of dirty greasy water remained. I had to soak baked on food over night or use vinegar and baking soda to clean. This did not lift it. My dishes were greasy and my practice is to wipe any greasy stuff off before washing and to use super hot water (tough hands after years of washing). Still had to wash and rewash and still a film. Today I used my much cheaper previous popular brand and boom, clean grease free dishes and easily removed fried on food. I do not recommend using this product at all. In fact I used to use original Dawn but this frustrated my so much I won't buy Dawn anymore.

I have used only dawn soap for years. The new scent/formula results in excessive scent/flavor on dishes after washing and THOROUGH rinse. It is not a rinsing issue. It is a scent/product issue. I was a loyal user for years and you've lost my businss.

I’ve noticed that Dawn no longer works as it used to. We hand wash dishes in our household, and have noticed they are greasy when they are supposed to be clean. We are on a septic system, and so are very careful with cooking grease..pans are wiped out with paper towels before going into the sink, and they still come out with a film of grease. Very disappointed!

I just started a new bottle of Dawn Platinum and I’m really disappointed with the new rain scent. It’s drastically different than the bottle I just finished and not in a good way. The scent of dish soap can actually make doing dishes more enjoyable, but this new scent is just odd. Seems like every scent I like (dish soap, Tide laundry detergent, Neutrogena hand cream) ends up getting “improved” with added perfumes according to the preferences of some silly test panel.

I have used Dawn for many years and have been extremely happy your product. However, this new scent is awful! I actually gives me a headache. I have a bottle in my kitchen and another one in my laundry room. I have recommended your product to family and friends. I haven’t used anything other than the original Dawn or Dawn platinum for the last 20+ years! Please change the formula back to what it use to be so I don’t have to start searching for another brand!!

We recently bought Dawn Platinum soap for the first time. My daughter suffers from frequent nosebleeds at night. One night we didn't catch it in time and there were some pretty large spots of blood on her brand new bedspread and favorite nightgown. I was very pleasantly surprised when I mixed some warm water with the Dawn Platinum soap and started started scrubbing the stains. They immediately vanished! It was like an eraser, taking away the entire stain without even leaving a dull remainder (the stains were on white, lilac and mint colored fabric). I am so impressed with this product. I've never found it so easy to get rid of those nasty nosebleed stains. It was the perfect solution to a 2 am wake up call! :) I would most certainly recommend this product and make sure I always have a bottle waiting in the pantry! AMAZING!

I swear by Dawn Platinum. I use it a lot during the day for hand-washing dishes and kitchen cleanup. I just opened a newly-purchased bottle and found it nauseating. Thought it was just a bad bottle until I read these other reviews about the "improved" scent. The scent is now on my counters where I cleaned up and lingering in the kitchen, and I have a bad headache. Noticed it immediately upon putting some of this in the sink. I also have used Dawn Platinum for years to clean our pool cover several times a week - it removes dust and dirt while being gentle enough not to eat up the plastic, and left a pleasant smell (And the covers saves lots of water from evaporation here in Calif.) I could never leave THIS sickening new smell on anything that I was going to get close to. Please fix this back to the old refreshing rain. Also, PLEASE don't mess with the platinum powerwash spray - the most useful new product to hit the market in years and I would hate to live without it. Thanks.

This has been the only dish detergent I have used in YEARS .......... I soak my dirty dishes while cleaning up after a meal, then when you go to wash them, the food washes off quickly, and voila, they are clean !!!! Same for pots and pans, also, I have mopped my small kitchen and bathroom floors with it. I also clean my CPAP facial mask with it, my hair brushes are soaked in a container for at least an hour with DAWN. Well, there are Just some of the things I can think of now, because this product has served me well over the years, I trust its quality and safety in my home.
