We’ve been happy with Dawn Platinum for quite awhile. No longer! Can’t have such a strong and nasty smell in our kitchen, not to mention in our dishwater and on our dishes. The old smell wasn’t great, but we buy dish soap for its cleaning power, not its perfume. Can’t get past the smell of this stuff, though, so unless and until you fix the stink problem we’re ex-fans.

ORIGINAL DAWN - NEW SCENT: I hate the new smell of "original" Dawn. It is awful. I bought a new bottle (not realizing there was a new scent) and after washing dishes, I looked around my kitchen trying to find what was so stinky, something spoiled but couldn't find anything. I even flushed my sink drains thinking there was something down it. I was sad to realize it is the Dawn new scent. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the original scent. I love Dawn. It is my go-to and the only one I buy. Don't encourage me to use your other versions, I just want my original scent back!!!!!!! Please. Thank you.

Bought two 90oz jugs of Dawn Platinum Advanced Power at our local club store and was sad to find this product now has an overpowering new scent. Checked the label and see it says “New & Improved Fresh Scent”. This scent bothers our whole family and it smells like we’re washing our dishes in cheap laundry detergent. We’ll be taking this back to the store and from other reviews it sounds like they’ve also changed original Dawn scent, so I’ll be on the hunt for a new product. I’ve loved Dawn since I started using it in the 90s, so this is a sad day.

This product does what it says it will do, and if it were just about the quality of the product, I'd give it five stars. But I am really not a fan of the scent. I'm typically not sensitive to smells, but for some reason I just really don't love the smell of platinum. Unfortunate, since it is a good product. I will be switching back to regular Dawn when my bottle runs out. Would love for Dawn to come out with new scents for platinum.

Just bought a new bottle of dawn, thought it was the regular till I started smelling it on my hands. Left me bewildered at first then I seen the scent on the bottle. Absolutely love the smell, works great against all my cooking and grease. The smell is 100% amazing. I even started looking for candles and wax’s with the same smell haha.

I've gotten many stains out of clothes with Dawn. It laso uses less so I not only save money, but Ican wash more duishes on a snmall amount. The scent is heavenly and makes dish washing actually relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommened any Dawn product.

The refreshing rain is not a pleasant smell to wash with. I do not know how they could call it refreshing or anything to do with rain. I do not mind doing dishes but with this fragrance it made it a chore. Why having a overpowering sent for dishes is beyond me. Giving this away and replacing with something else. Go back to original and hopefully does not bring up a PLATINUM bad smell flashback.

When I learned that Dawn developed a new product claiming that soaking a dish that had hard, baked-on food for 5 minutes with Dawn Platinum and then you could wash it and it would be clean instead of soaking the dish over-night so it would be clean, I thought 'R-I-G-H-T'! During a shopping trip I decided to buy the smallest bottle of Dawn Platinum that I could find and give it a try--thinking--'Oh well, what do I have to loose? The worst thing that could happen is that I bought another product making a B-I-G Claim that couldn't back it up.' I cook and bake ALL the time, and I began to put this product to the test for myself to prove that 'companies will say anything and do anything' just to sell a product and make money not caring if they could back up their words or not. What a shock I received! For once, a company actually 'told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!' It IS AMAZING! Okay--I admit I was extremely skeptical, but I also admit when a product works as well as a company claims it does! From then and on, I will use NOTHING but Dawn Platinum!! It is an AMAZING PRODUCT!!

I've been using Dawn for a few years, but the recent new scent is horrific! It makes me crinkle my nose in dissatisfaction and gives me a headache. Why did you change the scent? Along with the grease cutting and incredible cleaners, the scent used to be perfect. If you have any cases of the old product, I'd happily trade them out for the new Dawn I just bought.

I started using the product to wash my dishes when traveling for work. I've been on the road and staying in motels for 42 years. The first time I used it I left a few dishes to soak for a few minutes. When I came back to wash them, it looked like they had already been scrubbed. Awesome product.
