Its new smell is horrible and I will find another brand. Why change something that worked? I bought 3 bottles recently and thought I just got a defective one but Nope! I bet you can’t even use it on wildlife that needs rescuing.

How could you think this scent was OK? We are over 65 and have used Dawn forever. Not anymore. We're changing brands. By the way, your admission that the recent change in the scent name is very revealing; not a real change - just a name change. It's all about the marketing. Fresh rain smells nothing like this!

I am in my 40s and have used Dawn my entire life. New scent “fresh” is awful. It smells like rotting onions and I feel like it stinks to my dishes. Returning my purchase and I guess I will find a new dish soap. Take a cue from the makers of Smart Balance who tried to change their formula too. They ended up changing right back after a few months. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it.

Whatever Dawn thought this was supposed to smell like when they reformulated, they completely missed the mark. This stuff smells like Grandma's kitchen which is filled with mothballs. It's absolutely disgusting smelling. Does it clean well? Sure. I'd prefer if my kitchen didn't smell like an old closet after doing the dishes.

Always been a Dawn user. Have been ordering the gallon size for several years and it has worked great. Recently I had purchased the Platinum and WOW! What a difference. Thicker consistency, use only a third of the soap and that saves me money! From now on that is what I will purchase. Hope they start putting it in gallon jugs!

This is my go to dish soap. Not only is it affordable but in my opinion the best at removing grease from the pots and containers. I use this not just on my dishes but also thrown a few drops in my washing machine. Dawn is just a great soap all around.

I have discovered that Dawn platinum dish soap is for more than washing the dishes and getting them clean. I also use it to get out stains in my clothes with baking soda and vinegar. Or as a sink scrub with baking soda to keep my saltiness steel sink looking shiny and clean. It is so versatile and can be used in so many ways. I love the smell too.
