This fabric softener has been my favorite all my adult life. I love the fragrance, the way it softens clothes and the way it controls static. I actually have come to find the scent of April Fresh Dawn to be the scent that I associate with clean clothes and a clean house. I love it and would recommend it to others.

Downy fabric softener is, in my opinion, the strongest and best smelling fabric softener out there. This will always be my favorite fabric softener. You can definitely smell the difference after you throw your clothes into the dryer. The scent stays on.

Whenever I do laundry this is the liquid fabric softener I use. It conditions, softens , and freshens my clothes every time. It leaves my clothes with a long-lasting febreze fresh floral scent. This softener prevents static and reduces wrinkles in my clothes, it’s affordable, easy to use, and I would recommend it.

I absolutely love the scent of this! It leaves my clothing soft and comfortable. Just be careful not to use too much because it can cause irritation or leave streaks on clothing. Don’t let that deter you from this product! It is still fantastic when used right!

Mother in law keeps buying this for us, she doesn’t like dryer sheets (she doesn’t live here, and hasn’t even visited here in over 5 years so I don’t get it but whatever) when she first got it a few years ago she warned us to make sure we dilute it with water by half, saying that it had plugged up the dispenser on her front loading washer and the repair guy said it was a common problem with this fabric softener. Guess who’s fabric softener dispenser stopped working on their front loading washer about a year later? Yep, ours! And I was diluting it by a little more than half too. It’s not like we have money for a repair guy to come out, or money for a new washer. My point of this review is to warn others who have a front loading washer against using this fabric softener. Just don’t do it, even diluting it- it’s ruined the dispenser. The whole line going down into where I can’t get to is gunked up with fabric softener residue.

Although my family used this Downy for years, some of us became sensitive to it around the time the smell of the fabric softener changed. I assume a different or stronger chemical was added. We will only use the Downy Free & Gentle (white container) now. Unfortunately, Sams does not carry the "Free & Gentle" for those with sensitive skin. Shame. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there with sensitive skin that would love to have the same savings.

Oh I thought that this fabric softener was just fine. I never noticed that my clothes were not soft after I washed them. I also don’t think that they had any weird texture on them. This has a nice fresh smell but I don’t think the smell carried over to my clothes very well.
