We're sorry you had that experience. While it is not common, when this happens it is usually because of one of two reasons. Run warm water over the nozzle for a few minutes to loosen any clogs that may have occurred. It could also be that the dip tube doesn’t reach the solution or is facing in the wrong direction. The correct direction for the dip tube is in the same direction of the sprayer and the bottom of it should be in the corner.To change the direction of the dip tube, disconnect the sprayer from the bottle and reconnect it. We're so sorry you're disappointed at finding a taste lingering on your dishes, Frugalmom. Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our products, and we can understand your disappointment at having this experience. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste into food, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and items made of cast iron and plastic items are known to absorb flavors. If you love our Powerwash but prefer a lighter scent, we recommend using our Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray Free & Clear (in the clear bottle) which has a significantly reduced amount of perfume.
