Due to a medical condition I cannot have any products that have added fragrance. When I saw Dawn Platinum Power Wash - Free & Clear I was excited this was a product I could use. I trusted it was free and clear of dyes and perfume/fragrance and other products are that have FREE AND CLEAR on the label. Once I used the product it was evident it was scented, in small print under FREE AND CLEAR it says free of dyes, lightly pear scented. As a result I cannot use it. I’m frustrated that Dawn used this terminology that typically indicates NO dyes or scents.

The good: The product works very well on dishes, counters and spot treating clothes. It requires a rinse or follow with a damp cloth so it’s not spray and wipe. Loosens stuck on food very quickly. Lemon scent smells good, like Dawn and Lemon Joy had a baby. The bad: Fresh scent just smells awful. Should be replaced with original scent. Haven’t smelled apple but probably won’t try it. Free and Clear is clear but scented with a pear scent. Smells ok but why not make an unscented hypoallergenic product if you’re going to call it “Free and Clear.”

If I could give it a zero I would I bought this 2-3 months ago and today when I went to get a refill out of my cupboard I noticed it had almost all spilled out since I had layed the package on its side apparently the refill bottle lids don’t seal the cap has small holes in it As far as the cleaner it doesn’t work unless you scrub hard The commercials show it cleaning by just spray Let it set a couple mins and wipe away the mess but that never happens. You have to scrub hard like with normal soap

We love this Powerwash. It makes otherwise difficult dishes so easy to clean. Simply spray, leave it on a few seconds, or more for baked on foods, and wipe. Yay! We hate doing dishes around here. Here’s a tip on refilling: Don’t try to hard! I saw a video that said squeeze and turn left and nearly broke my hand! That’s a bit of hyperbole but it wasn’t fun. Then I read here that you simple need to turn the handle counter clockwise, then do the same with the lid of the refill and put the handle on the new bottle. Easy!

OMG! I LOVE THIS STUFF! But, I think you need to market it to seniors: we don't have a bunch of dishes... it’s hard to stand at the sink... budgets don't allow of high use of utilities and the jar seems to last forever!! The marketing you are doing now is things we expect from a dish soap not selling points, what I didn't expect was the fact that, at my age, dishes can be done nightly and easily without worry ... I gotta tell you I think it does a better job than soaking my dishes in the sink! \

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am already a fan of Dawn and was super excited to try this out. I am very pleased with how well the product worked. It made washing those dishes with the really tough stains easy as it removed the grease and stains without issues. I have also used this on my stove to clean up grease and it did the job. I received the pear scent which smells really nice. My only complaint is in regards to the packaging. The item came in perfect condition yet leaked. Just a quick rinse and it was fine. Also, the trigger does need to have a good amount of pressure pushed on it to get it to spray and while that was no problem for me, I know it is for others, like my grandmother and mother, who have pain in their hands. The label states to push the trigger all the way down for a continuous spray yet it is not a spray, it's just like any other spray bottle where you get a quick puff and continuously have to click the trigger to get more. Other than that, I really love the product, just needs better packaging.

Dawn Powerwash is just that - powerful! It’s so convenient to just spray a sticky, greasy, caked on, hopeless dish and come back to rinse all the gunk away. The sprayer is very effective and I find myself grabbing for this more than I expected. The “Free and Clear” led me to believe that it would be scent-free and that is not the case. The smell is the downside of this product. It is strong and chemically.

I have used Dawn for years and have always been satisfied with its effectiveness as a multipurpose cleanser, so I was eager to try the new Platinum Powerwash. While the product works as advertised, I found the bottle to be cumbersome and uncomfortable to hold onto, and the spray trigger difficult to operate with one hand, thus negating the convenience I had anticipated. I also am disappointed by the unpleasant fragrance of the Fresh Scent version I purchased. It smells like fish oil.

I’m pretty traditional and have always used just regular dishwashing liquid. Well now, I can’t go back to just using dishwashing liquid alone. This is a must have for my kitchen!

I have loved the Dawn Platinum Powerwash from the first time that I used it. From the pots and pans, dishes, stove, tub, car tires, and rims. You name it, I've probably sprayed it on it. Sometimes it's spray and let it sit a bit but it always helps and makes it easier. I won't lie, It costs more but is worth the extra money for what it saves me.
