We're sorry you had that experience. While it is not common, when this happens it is usually because of one of two reasons. Run warm water over the nozzle for a few minutes to loosen any clogs that may have occurred. It could also be that the dip tube doesn’t reach the solution or is facing in the wrong direction. The correct direction for the dip tube is in the same direction of the sprayer and the bottom of it should be in the corner.To change the direction of the dip tube, disconnect the sprayer from the bottle and reconnect it. While our Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray isn’t meant to have an off-odor, it can smell differently than intended when mixed with certain foods. As well, we’d expect this product to deliver a powerful clean, since it features spray-activated suds that cut through grease on contact. For heavily soiled dishes, we suggest letting the suds sit for about 3-4 minutes, and then rinsing and wiping.
