I like the powder because it is less heavy and you can control exactly how much you are putting in (I mix with Borax and Gain Flings). The downside is you cant store it on the shelf and fill a cup, so you have to take it down every time. If Gain made a sheet of detergent (like a dryer sheet) that would make storage easier. I also wish there was a powder softener.

After trying all the new detergents and being disappointed in their performance I went back to my tried and true Gain Original Powder Detergent. My whites are bright and beautiful again and my colored clothing is cleaned perfectly and smell wonderful!

I'm using this in front load high efficiency washer & it's doing a great job on stains. It also smells so fresh & good & the fragrance isn't overpowering, yet it's long-lasting. An appliance repairman recommended using liquid or powder instead of pods, as he had been on several calls recently where the plastic-like covering of the pods didn't completely dissolve & built up, and eventually caused big problems in the washers. I've also had some lumps that looked like clear plastic stuck to towels & blankets, but it turned out to be the pod covering. It came out after running under water, but it was a huge inconvenience to deal with. No problems at all with this powder.

I have been using Gain for years and when I buy this product I don't have to purchase detergent for a good two months and it's a family of 3 in the household. I wash every week about 4-6 loads. Great buy and highly recommend if you wash a lot of clothes!

My mom used Gain, she turned me onto the product; I have used it for years. I love the fact it's not a harsh product and it smells great!

I love Gain detergent. The original has been consistent with quality. It smells great and gets my clothes clean. I never question if I will get the em results that I want. I suffer from eczema and this product isn't harsh for my skin.

Very good cleaning power, it is efficient and effective at removing most stubborn stains, with 3 kids this is very important to us. Clean and fresh scent that last for days. We like the powder as we find it to be a better value.

This brand of washing powders is all I use and will Ever use Gain has the most clean and refreshing scents.. i use the original scent. Always gain.

These soften my clothes better than any other fabric softener. It leaves a light, very clean and pleasant fragrance. It's not too overpowering just light and wonderful.
