I’m normally a store brand pasta sauce kinda girl, but I did really enjoy this. It tastes great, is seasoned well, feels hearty (where a lot of store brands can be watery), and is actually filled with vegetables (not just filler junk). Plus, it’s a great size jar to keep if you do that. All around, just a great sauce!

I had this jar hanging out in my pantry waiting on a day when I was pressed for time, and that day came up this week. Let me tell you, from the first bite I was transported back to childhood and my mother's kitchen. She cooked a lot, but didn't make her own sauce, and Ragu was a staple. It tastes just as good now as I remember as a kid. Perfectly seasoned, nice consistency, and sticks well to noodles. Even though I make most of my sauces from scratch I think I'm going to start keeping a jar of Ragu on hand for busy nights and for when I need a little taste of my childhood!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ragu Old World Style Traditional pasta sauce was a delicious jar of pasta sauce. It had a lot of flavor, and my whole family loved it. I am surprised it wasn't home made. It is definitely the best jar pasta sauce I have had.

This pasta sauce has a lovely flavor that everyone in the family enjoys with or without modifications. Sometimes I saute some garlic and onions, add a bit of fresh basil or thyme and throw in a parmesan rind (that I keep in the freezer for this purpose). I use this as a base sauce for lasagna, spaghetti, rigatoni, cannelloni and many other dishes. (I like to try new things, and have taste-tested every brand available but always come back to Ragu.)
