I tasted it on its own before adding anything to it, and it wouldn’t be my first choice for a quick sauce. Flavor was lacking overall so I added a bunch of things to round the taste out. I also had to thicken it because it’s too thin for my liking. I think this sauce will do well as the base for a homemade pizza but I personally wanted more for a pasta sauce.

I am not a fan of traditional sauces because they are boring to me. HOWEVER, this sauce shocked me. I actually really like it 😅 Ragu has made me a believer that traditional sauces don’t have to be boring or not flavorful!! This sauce is soo good! Between myself, my husband and three girls there were no complaints! I also love the jars these come in because the label is easy to get off, you can throw it in the dishwasher and repurpose it!! (We use them for paint water!) I truthfully have nothing bad to say about this sauce. 😍❤️

This is an amazing jar of sauce we love it on our meatballs when I don't have time to make a sauce myself and my daughter eats it on her pasta and meatballs because it's a lot easier on her belly than hone made sauce and it's just as good . We get so many compliments when we cook with Ragu, everyone thinks it's made from scratch and loves it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A smooth tasty sauce! Has traditional marinara flavoring with no lumps in it, which is great for a picky eater! Made with few ingredients and can be used an array of ways. Pasta, chicken parmigiana etc! Price is very fair for a yummy product.

It smelled great but had a thinner consistency than I’m used to and like. It was also very smooth and I like my sauce to have texture. It was also very, very sweet. I really wanted to like it but I ll stick to what I’m used to

I like that the ingredients include made with olive oil and the flavor went great with the recipe I used it with. Packaging is consistent with their other products and the texture of the sauce was smooth and could be used in so many different recipes. Definitely will purchase again in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made spaghetti and meatballs with Ragu Old World style traditional sauce and enjoyed it. The sauce has a smooth, thick texture with no chunks. There is plenty of flavor from the Italian spices. I added some dried basil and oregano, but the sauce is fine without doing this. Ragu doesn't have the corn syrup substituting for sugar that some cheaper brands do. Ragu is a reasonably priced and reliable pantry staple that is great for making convenient weekday meals. I like the sturdy, recyclable glass jar, too.
