I normally use traditional marinara sauce but decided to use Ragu instead. I am glad I made the change, and it will be my new sauce from now on. I recommend.

I have purchased Ragu Traditional for years. I bought the new with Olive Oil because that was the only one offered on the grocery shelf. I served it and my husband asked me what did I do different. He said it tasted different but not in a good way. I agree, it is not the same flavor. I'm not sure I'll buy again.

That being said, we’re always on the hunt for a good pasta sauce. Raghu Old World Traditional Pasta Sauce is our go to sauce because it never disappoints. It works well with any dish whether you’re enjoying a classic pasta or a loaded pizza. I love the texture. It’s not too thick or too watery and has nice clean ingredients. We usually dress it up and add some additional herbs or spices but it’s just as great right out of the jar.

Packaging is very standard and the size of the jar I received was perfect and I didn’t waste any. Overall, not bad of a product.

The taste was much better than I imagined! Classic tomato flavor with hints of garlic and other herbs. I like my sauce rather robust, so I added some rosemary sprigs and some Italian seasoning mix and it really kicked it up a notch! The sauce had a rich tomato flavor on its own. It almost tasted like fresh, homemade sauce. My favorite part was the smooth texture. I’m not a fan of chunky sauces. This was smooth and perfect. A little bit thinner than I’m used to, but didn’t distract from the flavor profile. I used this on radiatori pasta but it seems extremely versatile. Can be used on a myriad of other dishes! I’m excited to try the other variations available. Will save me a lot of time and money in the kitchen!

I had plenty to use for meal prep this week, making my homemade chicken parm absolutely delicious! Always a classic sauce choice in our household.
