[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For all true Italians, you want this sauce it is thick full of flavor and smells amazing! My Italian grandmother will only use this sauce. It’s not too chunky. It’s just right the Italian seasoning in it is inspiring. if you don’t want your guest to say ew what’s that after taste? Go with Ragu!

To me this spaghetti sauce is definitely not like other pasta sauces, because it doesn’t taste like a homemade sauce it tastes like a basic tomato sauce that has not enough seasoning in it and not like a homemade pasta sauce, of course my mom makes spaghetti sauce from scratch and with all of the seasoning that it needs, but if I’m being honest then when I do buy spaghetti sauce it’s definitely Prago sauce, it tastes more like homemade sauce to me.

We get these to donate to our local pantry. They get a lot of pasta noodles donated, but not as many sauces since they only take cans or plastic jars. A lot of pasta sauces come in the breakable jars, but these are in plastic. Because they are larger sizes, families can get more than one meal out of them too. I grew up eating Ragu pasta sauces and know they are of good quality.

At 24 oz, you really get great value for the money…enough to cover a big family meal or stretch into leftovers. The sauce has a rich, slow-simmered flavor that feels like it’s been bubbling on grandma’s stove all afternoon. The olive oil gives it a silky smoothness, while the tomatoes have that balance of sweetness and tang that makes every bite comforting. It clings to pasta beautifully, and with a sprinkle of parmesan, it tastes like you’re sitting down to a home-cooked Italian dinner without all the work.

We always ate Ragu at least once per week raising our kids who are now 48 and 50 years old. Since I am sensitive to acid, I quit buying it for myself until recently. I was happy that it is the true original Ragu flavor and beats trying to dress up canned tomatoes. I made a new recipe with kidney beans, onions and ground chicken today and found that it works as well there as with my rice/lentil pasta with ground beef.

When cooking spaghetti and other pasta dishes for the family, I prefer Ragu. The multi-pack provides me a nice supply to last a while for the two of us. Pasta with Ragu sauce provides an economical and delicious meal for us. By adding a salad and some bread, we are all set!

We enjoyed it with protein pasta, which make a quick, an easy dinner. We appreciated this was a meal the whole family enjoyed, including our toddler!

It is a good neutral sauce to use when you don't have time to make your own, which is my preference. Used it to make shortcut stuffed peppers for dinner, and it was satisfactory. I'd keep this on hand for quick dinners. I will say I was not happy at all with the amount of packaging that was used to deliver this. It was incredibly excessive and felt wasteful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ragú is always one of my go to sauces for pasta from a jar. The traditional sauce is seasoned well and does not need any added salt or spice in my opinion. I made classic spaghetti with it and it’s a hit with all my family members.
