I think the flavor was great and I love sauces made with olive oil. We use this on pasta, with meatballs, as a dipping sauce for garlic bread and so much more. Will use this product again in the future.

I simply use the frozen meatballs I put them in the Crock-Pot, and I poured the Ragu Sauce over top and turned it on high for a couple of hours, and dinner was ready It was delicious, and it comes in different size jars for convenience.

The sauce pairs great with spaghetti and meatballs. It’s very versatile. I always add some red pepper flakes. I do wish the sugar content was lower like other sauces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I think of Ragu jarred sauce, I think of my childhood. Specifically, I remember trying to convince my mother to get Prego over Ragu. When I received this complimentary jar of Ragu for review purposes (as a middle aged adult), I wanted to compare them to see if my old opinions were valid. I thought of what matters with pasta sauces: taste/flavor, how well it stays on noodles, ingredients & price. My first test was about how watery the sauce was. First I dipped the spoon and laid them on the plate. Even before I could get it to the plate, the Ragu one dripped sauce. But, later on in the experiment, I held them both up at the same time and they pretty much dropped at the same & frequency and neither one had much more water than the other next. Of course, I tasted them. I was really surprised to find that the Prego was much sweeter (even more so because the Prego was a meat, flavored sauce and I expected it to be saltier). Ragu was not off puttingly sweet, but also not too tasty either it tasted a little bit like the sauce that is on the SpaghettiOs…but with a slight vegetable flavor. Next, I compared the nutrition facts and ingredients (see photo). I was pleasantly surprised to see the Ragu was made out of real ingredients(including no High Fructose Corn Syrup). They should tote their pronounceable/real food ingredients more. I didn’t like this particular flavor, but I would be willing to try a different flavor.

I honestly don't find much of a flavor profile with the meat flavor but what's great about these sauces is that you can always add more flavor to them. Just because I don't prefer this flavor doesn't mean these aren't great! It comes in a decent size glass jar with a nice texture consistency, not too thick and not too creamy.

Well just in case u have not had Ragu I will let u know what you are missing taste like homemade.Thick but not too thick perfect consistency perfect flavor. Still in Glass bottle so be careful. I’m divided on glass jar it might be in my head but. I do think everything taste better in glass jars, but have had one break on me so I do like the safety of non glass jars.
