I've been using this sauce for many years , and it has always been my number one favorite. Some sauces can be too sweet and not enough of that Italian taste . Ragu is my go to sauce for all Italian dishes I prepare at home . My family likes this sauce too , and I love that there is a variety of flavors to choose from as well . I would highly recommend this, it has a great flavor , and lots of variety .

We liked the the old recipe MUCH better. I would not recommend this new recipe to anyone that liked the old sauce. My knowledge of business tells me the ONLY reason you'd mess with a good thing is to make more money - or at least not make less money. Hopefully you can figure out a way to make more money (or not make less money) and bring back the tasty old stuff at the same old price (and in the same size jar).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Ragu Old Style Traditional Pasta Sauce and I am so happy I did. I have never had the Ragu Pasta sauce before so I wanted to shake things up. I used the Ragu pasta sauce on my meatballs and now I'm in love with this pasta sauce. Nicely seasoned no need to add more season like other pasta sauces.

I have been using the Old World Style sauce flavored with meat for my family for the last twenty years. The changes made to this recipe has made the sauce unpalatable. I use olive oil in my cooking, but not in the large amounts you now put in this sauce. Just cooking with it nauseates me from the overwhelming scent of the olive oil. My children now teenagers never let me use any other sauce on their spaghetti in all these years. However even they no longer wish for me to keep using this new sauce. The taste, the smell and the watery consistency are not to the liking of any of my household members. I am very disappointed in this new take on an old stand-by.

My kids were the first to comment on it, "Its tasty." It has a good flavor and I could see using it as a base for making your own sauce too, adding in some meat, etc.

Agree with other reviews . The reason I am on here is I have noticed a change for the worse in the old world style sauce recipe. It's way too sweet and kind of tart. Why mess with a good thing. My family has used ragu for decades. I may actually need to find a new one if this doesn't change back.
