This sauce was so flavorful with the right amount of seasoning, that they all thought it was from scratch like I usually make. They were so surprised when I told them it was from Ragu. It was delicious!! This was the perfect texture with the perfect consistency. It was a hit and highly recommend and 10 out of 10 for sure!!!

Add more garlic, some herbs, maybe a little heat… but not this time. For the sake of giving an honest, unaltered tasting review, I kept it super simple. I heated the Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce, added a handful of fresh spinach and some meatballs, and served it up as meatball subs instead of pasta (because we had pasta the night before). And BABY… it was so good. The flavor was already balanced...thick, hearty, rich with tomato goodness and just the right seasoning blend. This is what I call “plug-and-play” sauce; open, heat, serve, and enjoy. Perfect for busy nights or when you want that classic flavor without turning your kitchen into a test kitchen. I could easily see this pairing well with spaghetti, lasagna layers, or even as a pizza base. No extra garlic needed (and that’s saying something coming from me!). Ragu nailed it with this one.

The sauce was rich in flavor and thick so that it stayed put on the pasta.You could taste the full richness of the tomatoes.I would recommend this Ragu Old World Style for all you pasta lovers.I even use it as a sauce when I make pizza! Ragu ruined a perfect sauce that I have been using for as long as I can remember. The family thought it tasted terrible. Then we read the small yellow label on the front of the jar...now with olive oil. No mention of additional garlic. As I am allergic to garlic and my husband can no longer eat olive oil due to his cancer drug, I do not know what I can use now in my cooking dishes.

The old world style traditional pasta has a really great, full taste that is an excellent addition to any dish. We whipped up some yummy spaghetti & meatballs and of course, we added the sauce. Overall, really impressed!

I was dismayed when I discovered that Ragu had changed it's Traditional Style sauce last year. I have a significant garlic sensitivity and the new recipe has more garlic in it and I can no longer eat it. At that time I was happy to find that Ragu sauce with meat was unchanged, that is until recently when I discovered that the meat sauce recipe has more garlic now too. This is the only spaghetti sauce I have purchased for over 30 years and unfortunately I will no longer be buying it unless the company offers it's original recipe once again. There are a lot of people such as myself who have a sensitivity to garlic and it is a shame that Ragu will no longer meet our needs.

As a mom of a picky boy I was happy to when he finally started eating spaghettis when we mixed with ragu. My grandma always used Ragu and it was also my favorite growing up. Now the new one taste just so different he will not eat it and I totally understand. The taste is off. Make an olive oil option for those who want that but please bring back the actual original for us who love it.
