I appreciate that Ragu has utilized olive oil in their formula. We typically prefer sauce that has more depth to flavor and I was hoping that this sauce would have that. We made whole wheat spaghetti noodles and used the Ragu with our typical organic ground beef. Our children were happy and said they liked it, but that it wasn't their favorite. I was a little disappointed and felt that the olive oil didn't add to the taste or texture of the sauce. I think we'll stick with our go-to sauce in the future.

Have used the Traditional sauce my entire life but now I'm going to have to find something else. The "improved" version with olive oil tastes mostly of garlic and has a weird, almost burned flavor. Way too much garlic and not enough good flavor. Not sure we can even finish eating what I'd made with it tonight. Very disappointing. This was a waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Ragu Old World Style traditional pasta sauce and it tastes great. I like the rich tomato flavor of the sauce. I used it to make lasagna and my family loved it. It's a great tasting pasta sauce that I can use to make many dishes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce with Olive Oil has to be the only jar sauce I've ever used that I haven't had to add anything to. It is so good right out of the jar. It's nice and thick, not runny at all. The flavor is complex. It doesn't just taste like tomato paste. There are clearly seasonings. It tastes like it was made with love in a kitchen in Sicily. I used my complimentary jar to make two bags of frozen ravioli. I opted for those rather than spaghetti, because I would have added meat and veggies to the sauce. I wanted to get as much of the Ragu flavor profile as I could. My family also enjoyed it very much.

I have purchased the traditional sauce for over 30 years now. My 7 year old has autism and currently in treatment for leukemia. One of the few things he will eat is pasta with traditional Ragu sauce. Once the new formula showed up on the shelf he stopped eating pasta. It took me a few attempts to understand what had happened and when I tasted the sauce I realized that it was different. There may be folks out there who like the new formula but for those who liked and counted on the old recipe you should make it available. Thank you.

This sauce reminds me of my childhood. Ragu Traditional was always my mother's go to, I am happy to say the taste is still the same and brings back pleasant memories. It's not a thick sauce and it's perfect to incorporate into recipes. The taste is good but not overpowering which makes this such a versatile product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ragu Old World Style Sauces have been around longer than most people. I know I have been eating Ragu Sauces since I was little. There wasn't to many brands to pick from back then. The packaging sure has changed for the better. The taste hasn't changed much either. I find it on the sweet side. I like my sauce with more thickness. Luckily, Ragu makes many different flavors to pick from. I love the chunky one with garlic and onion the most. I like to doctor it up with a bit of extra love. I also love to dip about a hundred breadsticks into it, as well. Ragu isn't going anywhere. It will be around long after I'm gone.

It's perfect for single serving plates of macaroni or any other kinds of noodles it also works great as a dipping sause. I definitely recommend trying this sause.
