I always expect great quality from Ragu and it definitely doesn’t disappoint in its Old World Style sauce. Everything tastes great without having to add anything extra for flavor. It was lacking in flavor as I could mainly taste an overpowering tomato flavor throughout. Regardless, I enjoyed how this product contains two servings of vegetables in every half cup of sauce.

I used to purchase the Ragu traditional solely because it was the only one WITHOUT garlic as my husband has allergic reaction to garlic. So I can't cook with it. Now garlic is one of the ingredients in it! I switched to the meat old world style because the ingredient list showed no garlic. NOW, there's garlic in it too!!! I picked up three different jars at the store today one said 60cal. one said 70cal. both contained garlic the third jar I picked up showed 90cal and no garlic. All three were Traditional. Do I trust Ragu to not send my husband to the ER? Please tell me which one DOES NOT have garlic!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sauce is better than I thought it would be. I come from a home that makes homemade pasta sauce, so I wasn't expecting much from a jar of sauce. To my surprise it was delicious. The flavor was excellent! It's both parent and baby approved.

Old world traditional sauce is really great...I use it as a base and doctor it up with lots of chunky green pepper, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and very lean ground meat...and most times add an extra can of diced tomatoes . Makes a great healthy and tasty sauce. My husband is diabetic so we try to avoid foods with added sugar. Tomatoes have their own natural sugar...This sauce itself has less than a gram of added sugar with 3 grams of fiber and only 60 calories a 1/2 cup. PS: Eating high fiber 28-30 gms/day and no added sugar foods will help a lot to lose weight over time and not be hungry while you're making a lifestyle change in eating habits.

Ragu, how could you have done this to us? In the past my family has bought so many jars of traditional sauce we could have probably wrapped them around earth. But sadly, never again. Earlier this year we had spaghetti and it tasted awful. Little did we know that you changed your recipe for the worse. During a pandemic we were scouring every last grocery store to find the last bottles of original formula. But they are all gone. Sadly, now we are searching desperately for an alternative with your competitors. If you ever decide to change back, let use know.
