I always add seasoning to jar sauce and this was no different but it does taste good and my kids liked it and the ingredients were very good as well. Not too salty which is great

We’ve had it on spaghetti squash, zoodles, and regular pasta and it’s delicious on all 3! It’s thicker than some store brand pasta sauces too!

It tastes just like homemade sauce, but without the hassle. I have tried many other sauces, but I also come back to this one.

The jar is easy to open and can store extra in refrigerator with close if the cap. This is the perfect ingredients for this sauce. Goes on everything great

We always ate Ragu at least once per week raising our kids who are now 48 and 50 years old. Since I am sensitive to acid, I quit buying it for myself until recently. I was happy that it is the true original Ragu flavor and beats trying to dress up canned tomatoes. I made a new recipe with kidney beans, onions and ground chicken today and found that it works as well there as with my rice/lentil pasta with ground beef.

I’ve found that you really get what you pay for, and the best sauces tend to cost a bit more than the value ones. Admittedly, I haven’t bought Ragu in awhile, but I was willing to give it a try. I enjoyed the flavor and texture of the Old World Style sauce from Ragu. It seems like the brand has improved in quality, and it didn’t taste too sugar-y, which I liked. I didn’t notice any tomato chunks which was a little disappointing, but if you are weird about texture, then this is real smooth. The packaging is appealing, though it looks like most of the other Ragu choices. I used the entire jar with a full box of spaghetti, and it seemed to be a perfect amount of sauce to soak up the noodles. My kids had seconds which is a nod to this being enjoyable by them. I’m not sure if I’ll drop my current favorite brands for this one, but I will consider adding it to my rotation.

There is a large Italian population in Rochester, NY where I live and this sauce tastes similar to a few of the local Italian restaurants and homemade sauce of my Italian friend’s. I topped hearts of palm pasta with the sauce along with fresh basil, parsley and some grated Parmesan cheese. I thought it was very good. My husband and I both enjoyed the texture and flavor profile but he thought there was a touch too much sugar in the sauce.

It has that classic, familiar, smooth tomato flavor you expect from a pantry staple. ​As a simple dipping sauce, it works fine, but the taste is quite basic. It lacks a certain richness or a strong herb and spice profile. It's a good starting point, but on its own, it doesn't offer much complexity. It's the kind of sauce you'd use as a base and add your own ingredients to for more flavor. Need to try with Italian dish next.
