[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce to try in exchange for my honest opinion. The sauce is pretty good overall, my one complaint would be that it’s a little bit on the sweeter side so I wasn’t a huge fan of that. But it’s a good sauce when you’re in a time crunch.

I really liked the texture of the ingredients and you could taste the flavor! It’s not my favorite, but I’ve definitely tried pasta sauce that tasted fake than this one.

If you had to define my family, we would be pastavours, especially my 2 younger kiddos. They are some spaghetti eating machines and would eat it at every meal if I let them, including breakfast. I've tried every pasta sauce out there- name brands, store brands, celebrity chef brands, you name it and we've probably tried it. Ragu is our number one favourite, and for good reason. Old world traditional is simply perfect. It has everything it needs for that perfect spaghetti dinner taste, just like nonna made. Bright tomato, a hint of garlic, a bite from the onions, you seriously wont have to add anything to this sauce. If you want to add an extra helping of veggies to your kid's diet, grab a jar of their garden combination sauce! My kids still devour the spaghetti because it still has that great ragu taste that they love! You really cant go wrong with a couple jars of this in your pantry.

When are you going to switch back to the old recipe? The addition of olive oil has altered the flavor drastically and in a very bad way. We used to be a family that used this sauce at least twice a week. Will never buy again unless there is an option to buy without the olive oil.

Rosiest tomato flavor with the tiniest hint of sweetness. It will forever be a staple in our house.

It has a good taste but definitely on the sweeter side. Good for a quick pasta dish - but not the best option!

As a person who typically makes my sauce from scratch, being able to save some time was a nice change! I would say it is a really good alternative for me when I don’t necessarily feel like cooking. I added ground turkey to it for some extra protein, but it didn’t need anything else. I thought I’d have to “doctor it up” and add extra spices, but it was pretty darn good on its own. I also liked the fact that the ingredients in the sauce are simple. I look for that in the products I purchase. I also like that it’s in a glass jar and not plastic. Such a great add to any dish, and super tasty. Jarred sauce is tricky but Ragu has it down to a science. Smooth silky sauce with such great flavor.
