My kids DEVOURED their dinner. I made chicken parm and bow ties with the ragu sauce and my family said it was delicious and creamy and the best dinner they’ve had in a while. Needless to say this will be a new staple in my pantry for my family.

I bought RAGÚ Old World Style Traditional Sauce because it said “40% Daily Vegetables” and I was like, “Cool, I’ll get my veggies while pretending I’m a responsible adult.” What I didn’t expect was to fall into a full-blown rom-com montage of my life getting back on track. 🍅 First taste: Immediate flashbacks to Sunday dinners with Grandma yelling “Mangia!” from the kitchen. 🥫 Second taste: My 6-year-old said, “This tastes like you tried your best.” Excuse me while I go sob into this pasta. 💃 Third time using it: I put on lipstick, poured a glass of wine, and started dancing while stirring the sauce like I’m in a Hallmark movie. The cat was judging, but I was thriving. Texture: Smooth like my best day. Flavor: Rich, nostalgic, and just enough garlic to remind me I’m loved. Veggie vibes: Honestly? I feel healthier already. Might cancel my multivitamin subscription. I don’t know what’s in this jar, but I think it’s hope. Would I buy it again? Already bought 4 jars. I have been buying Ragu Spaghetti sauce with Meat for years - I've been married for 52 years and used it for nearly that long. I didn't realize that it had changed until was looking for find out if the sauce was GLUTEN FREE. When I read the other reviews it was then that I did realize that it was different. I have always used Ragu as a base and then added minced onion, basil, and oregano to make it to our taste. I don't think that your new recipe is awful, but it does change the taste of what we are used to eating. I, too, would ask that you give us a choice and bring back the old sauce so we can do what we want to it to make it palatable for our families. Thank you.

The jar is very thick glass and very sturdy. You can definitely taste the garlic and the onion in this one, those were the most prominent flavors. The sauce itself was not watery, which was nice. I don’t like super chunky sauce so I enjoyed this one because of how smooth it was. When I started heating it up it smelled amazing. I was actually so excited to try it that I forgot to take a picture of it on my pasta before I ate it. It was good by itself, but I prefer to add a little bit to my pasta sauce flavor with some Parmesan cheese, which it also paired very well with! I would absolutely buy this one again. Rago Old World Style Traditional Sauce has a very traditional taste that reminds me of my moms homemade tomato sauce. It has a great blend of spices and small pieces of onion to enhance the flavor. I like the fact that it has no artificial colors, flavors and no high fructose corn syrup and it's made with only 8 ingredients. Another thing that I really like is that you get 2 servings of vegetables in each 1/2 cup serving. It tastes great and my family and I enjoyed it.

I have loved traditional Ragu sauce my entire life. I literally have all the labels framed in my home and years worth of students I’ve heard my Ragu stories. Why on earth would you change the traditional brand so drastically? It’s flavorless and ruins anything I add it to. Please go back to the original brand as an option why oh why would something so popular for so long no longer be available?

I got this sauce and immediately thought of so many meals I could make but I decided to keep it classic by making spaghetti with meat sauce. I love how Ragu has taken so much work out for me. The sauce is super flavorful and I love that my kids are getting a serving of veggies!

You can add more to it if you want more spice or in our case I had my daughter add a little basil to hers because she likes that taste. The jar is plentiful. lots in there I think our family can get two meals out of one jar. There seem to be some chunks of tomatoes in there, adding some texture which is welcomed and the claim of 40% of a daily serving of vegetables is good because my parent my children eat a lot of pasta. It helps to get some veggies snuck in!
