[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sauce was kind of sweet, and very tomato forward. It was ok, but my kids knew right away it wasn’t the usual sauce they are used to. Perhaps if it was cooked longer with meatballs or sausage it would take on more flavor.

This is a brand I already know and love, so I already love the packaging, but the traditional flavor surprised me in the best way. I always buy other variations of the sauce, but I never knew the original would taste just as good! The thickness of the sauce is also exactly how I like it! The flavor reminds me of the kind of simple pasta dinners I grew up with, nothing fancy, just rich tomato taste with a hint of herbs. When I was cooking with it, my kitchen smelled so cozy. I mixed it with some spaghetti and a little Parmesan, and it felt like a warm, easy meal that I can even make on a work night. I recommend this sauce to everyone, an easy 10/10. This is the closest you’ll get to homemade in a jar!

The "new recipe" is terrible. Very tasteless. We made rigatoni for dinner and everybody asked if they noticed a difference in the sauce and thought maybe it was bad. But then we looked at the jar and read the part about it being a new recipe. Very disappointed.

It has an excellent delicate texture and a wonderful aroma. I like its real tomato taste. The products are made of high quality. Packed in a glass jar with bright yellow labels. The lid fits tightly and twists. Use it to cook your dishes, such as soups, pasta, stewed vegetables with meat and so on. A versatile sauce that goes well with almost all dishes, especially for tomato lovers.

I have bought Ragu Traditional sauce for more then 25yrs. Always loved it with ground beef and added spices of my own. This last time I did not see that it was made with olive oil. My spaghetti now smells rancid and I’m unwilling to feed this to my husband and dinner guests. Absolutely unexceptionable, please tell me the old brand has not been discontinued.

I’ve tried many different types of jarred pasta sauces, but I always seem to go back to Ragu. With tons of flavor varieties, I know I can always find one to compliment any dish. Some jarred sauce can be sour, grainy, or even bitter. But the flavor of Ragu sauce is always just right. It makes for an easy spaghetti dinner night after a long day. And best of all, the kids love it. I’ll always buy Ragu over any other brand and recommend it to everyone needing a quick dinner solution.
