I also like the wider wasteband and the deign on the front to insure proper placement. The material also has a good about of stretch to make it fit well. While not overly thick, the padding provides the protection needed to avoid accidents.

As far as absorption they have plenty of padding and fold over tabs / stitch on the perimeter of the panty that you are guaranteed there won't be leaks when an accident occurs.

The padding is no thicker than a regular maxi-pad, so no one can see any odd outlines on your clothing. Extremely lightweight and super absorbent. Another plus, is that these don't have any awful perfume or scent, which I appreciate. I like having these as extra protection for long travel trips, and wherever there may not be a restroom close by, such as certain hiking trails.
