The Food and Drug Administration guidelines require manufacturers to print the net weight, not volume, on our containers. The syrup in 24-ounce bottle weighs 24 ounces. However, it measures 16 fluid ounces or approximately 2 cups by volume. Net weight is not the same as volume.
