My husband, who had it in his childhood, told me that it actually tasted better than what he had had. Anyway, I put it in milk..and it tastes great. I only put a little in it and the flavor was rich enough for me. It was not as sweet as I had expected, which was good. We have been adding it into milk primarily. I tried putting it into coffee but it did not taste as good. It would be better if it has less artificial ingredient in it.

I love Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup so much It has the perfect chocolate taste to it. I use it a lot to make chocolate milk by mixing some of the syrup in with a cold glass of milk. I can always add more to make it more chocolatey. My niece and nephew love to make their own chocolate milk with the Hershey’s syrup too. I love Hershey everything and I always get the syrup for my kiddos and I but this time I think there is something seriously wrong... like maybe even poison in the syrup or something. It tastes so bad even my 8 year old daughter told me it was gross and then I took a bite and couldn't believe how bad it really was. I even tried another bite to make sure it wasn't just my taste buds or in my head idk. Then we had their dad try it and he agreed. It was so bad I can't even explain it. I've never had anything like it. And never had a bad syrup from Hershey so I don't know. Should I send it in to be tested somewhere? Like incase there is something unsafe in it? Some one help please!? I saved the bottle incase... or incase the company wants it back to test it... incase they want to recall them? Idk.
