I have had MD for 71/2 yrs now. I faithfully take two a day. My vision hasn't gotten any worse, but I do get shots in both eyes every 28 days. It's okay with me as long as I have my vision!

I have been taking Areds for a year. Went for my yearly checkup for a macular pucker on the right eye. Told the doctor I think the Areds has helped my eye. The distortion has gotten better! She did the scan and the eye has improved!

It is difficult to rate maintenance medication as there is not any obvious changes; but because it is recommended by our eye doctor we use it daily as perscribed.

Opthomologist recommended AREDS 2. They seem to be helping but they are very expensive considering two a day! The cost, however, is cheaper than some stores who sell the 120 count bottle for the same price.
